Bereavement Doula Services

LOSS

Pregnancy and infant loss are some of the most profound experiences a person can endure. Whether through miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss, navigating grief can feel isolating. At Moon Cradle Matrescence, I offer bereavement doula support to provide gentle, compassionate guidance through this difficult time.

ULTRASOUND

What Is a Bereavement Doula?

A bereavement doula is a trained professional who offers emotional, physical, and informational support to families experiencing pregnancy or infant loss. Unlike traditional grief counseling, a bereavement doula provides hands-on, personalized care during and after loss, ensuring that families have the support they need to navigate grief in a way that feels right for them.

Before & During Loss:

⭐ Emotional support, validation, and space-holding for grief

⭐ Guidance on medical procedures, options, and advocacy

⭐ Continuous support during labor and birth, if desired

⭐ Assistance with memory-making (photos, handprints, footprints, keepsakes)

After Loss:

⭐ In-home postpartum support for physical and emotional recovery

⭐ Resources for grief support, therapy, and community connections

⭐ Guidance on lactation after loss (including drying up milk or donation options)

⭐ Ritual and ceremony guidance for honoring your baby in a way that feels meaningful
